Design and make your own Scandi'-style footstool on this intermediate level course open to anyone who has completed one of our beginners level courses.
On this weekend course you will learn how to:
-measure and cut fabric
-measure and cut foam
-use a basic upholstery stapler
-use dacron/polyester wadding
-cover a basic upholstery pad with fabric by pleating
-fit a black bottom
-use basic sewing skills for upholstery
-combine sewing and upholstery skills and practices
-attach hairpin legs
-make and tie shallow buttons
With a focus on combining basic sewing and upholstery skills you'll learn by completing the footstool from start to finish. There's loads of luxury fabrics to choose from and you can even design the shape and size of your stool as well as choosing which legs you would like. This course really is perfect for someone wanting the next stage in upholstery tuition after any of our beginners courses.
